At JourneyWorks RV, we are dedicated to ensuring your RV adventures are safe and enjoyable. Our mission is to provide top-notch RV inspection services, helping you hit the road on your schedule with confidence.
We are Ernie and Laurie Knapp and we have been active RVers since August of 2020. Our RV adventure began as a way to spend more time with our kids and grandkids who live in another state, and we continue to take advantage of the autonomy and flexibility that our RV gives us in being with family. Since we retired a few years ago, our RV ventures have expanded and we now spend a few months of each year in our Cougar 5th wheel.
Ernie is a retired electrical engineer and Laurie is a retired teacher. God has blessed us with good health and we are eager to help and support others in the RV community. We started JourneyWorks RV Inspection and Services to provide current and prospective RV owners with a high level of confidence as they consider an RV purchase. We value excellent service, good communication and attention to detail.
Our home base is in Johnstown, Colorado, located in the farm country of Weld County, near Loveland, Greely and Longmont. We also spend significant time each year in Northwest Washington and Southern California. We enjoy spending time with our kids and grandkids wherever we are.
Our Washington place is not far from Bellingham and Mount Vernon. The photo on the left is a sunset taken from the deck of our family lake house.
The Vista/Oceanside area of Northern San Diego County is where we call home during the month of January and for shorter periods at other times.
Yes, we love the freedom and opportunity for great experiences that RVing has given us. But we, like most of our RV friends, have had a few experiences we would have avoided, if we could have. Last summer we had a roadside experience like that. We spent more than 24 hours on the side of this lovely on-ramp on I-80 in Wyoming. It was a wheel bearing problem that required an axle replacement. Thank God we were able to get off the freeway without incident, and eventually get it repaired. Lesson learned... I now use a handheld IR thermometer to check our trailer hub temps a couple times a day on travel days.
Fortunately, this kind of experience has been the exception rather than the rule for us. See our gallery for our many wonderful adventures.
