What to Expect With Your RV Inspection

Initial Inquiry

When you contact us about an RV inspection, we will ask you some questions to get a better idea as to how we can best meet your needs:

  • What is the purpose of the inspection?
  • When do you want the inspection completed?
  • What type of RV do you want inspected - year, make, model, floor plan?
  • How will you/do you use the RV - full time, weekends, extended trips?
  • Who will be using the RV - couple, family?
  • Do you have any particular concerns or items you would like us to consider with the RV?

Scheduling and Payment

Once we understand what you're looking for, we can start talking about cost and schedule.

  • Scheduling will happen once we agree on a price for the inspection. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule requirements.
  • We will tentatively schedule the inspection and send out an email message with the points of inspection document, contract and request for payment.
  • Once the payment has been processed and the signed contract returned, the scheduled inspection will go from tentative to confirmed.

Inspection Day

The inspection will begin in the morning, usually around 9AM, and will take most or all of the day.

  • Prior to the inspection we will send you a list of requirements, such as water/sewer/power hookups being available, powering on the refrigerator, etc. You will need to coordinate with the seller to ensure all these items are in place and that they will allow an independent inspection.
  • We will text you when we arrive to start the inspection and again when we have completed.
  • You do not need to be present for the inspection, but you may if you want to. Just be aware that any questions or comments during the inspection process will slow the process and could distract the inspector from the job at hand.
  • If there are safety issues or other major issues that come up during the inspection, we will contact you in real time.

The Report

The final inspection report will be completed and sent to you via email no later than 48 hours after the inspection is complete, but usually within 24 hours. The report will provide details and photos of any issues that we identify. All of the items in the points of inspection will have an entry as to acceptability. We will follow up with you after you have had a chance to read the report to answer any questions and discuss any concerns.

Points of Inspection

The "points of inspection" documents provide a list of all the items that we will be inspecting:

  • Motorhome Points of Inspection
  • Towable Points of Inspection
